Bridgemary Car Boot Sale proving just too popular!
During the winter, the Bridgemary Car Boot Sale has room for 250 cars and a further 60 indoor spaces for sellers, but with only two boot fairs in the area during the winter - the other is Burseldon Open Air Market near Southampton - demand for selling space is outstripping supply. As a result, organisers are having to turn away sellers every Sunday and on occasion have had to close the gates and wave queueing traffic away to allow local traffic to keep flowing. The problem is not being helped by the fact that the field that is used during the summer and during dry spells is off limits until Spring. One solution is to pre-book an indoor space by phoning 07881 786556. Not only can you then arrive a little later knowing your pitch is guaranteed, you are dry and warm to boot! There will be a car boot sale at Bridgemary Community School on Christmas Eve, but not one on New Year's Eve. Car boots will then resume as normal from January the 7th. |
