Church is the latest convert to boot fairs!

A car boot fair in Nottinghamshire is now home to a church called Car Boot Sunday, which give sellers and buyers the chance to join in prayers on the hour every hour.

Paul Howard decided to set up his own tent church after realising that people were spending their Sunday mornings at the nearby car boot sale and not at church.

"Calverton's Sunday Car Boot event is one of the biggest in the county and attracts up to 4,000 people every week," said Paul who has been studying evangelism. "I used to think, that is where everyone is on a Sunday morning – not in church. But as they are not coming to us, we decided we would go to them."

The Car Boot Church runs from 9 till 12 noon each Sunday, with Calverton's car boot fair organiser, Car Boot Bob, allowing them to use the pitch free of charge.
